It's Time

It's time to start the after Christmas cleaning. Making sure that everything is in order and getting ready for the New Year. But not looking forward to saying good-bye to Matthew as he heads back to Mississippi on Tuesday night.

The week before Christmas

It's the week before Christmas and I struggle to find something to write about. i have done so much this month like shop, clean, bake, and still have so much to do that I have not had a chance to sit down and write at all. My son has proven what a grown up young man he is by not getting under the tree and shaking the presents this year as he has in past years. All I really want for Christmas is Peace, Love and spending time with my family. Oh and my nephew is on his way home as we speak he's probably in the air on his way to either Atlanta airport or he's already made it that far and is on his way to Charlotte N.C. Let the holiday festivities begin. Happy holidays to one and all and lets not forget the reason for the season.

Virginia Tech Book

I am reading the most interesting book on the school shootings at Virginia Tech college that is located in Blacksburg Va. I'm sure most people have heard of it. The tragedy was felt around the world. This book explains what happened on that day and also gives you a little bit of background on the ones that was killed on that day. This school is only about 40 minutes from my home and in small towns like we live in when one town hurts they all do.

Christmas Parade

Our town puts off a great christmas parade every year. My son walked in it this year. He belongs to a club called Future christians and athletes. I am very proud of him for this. it was such a special day for our town it seems like everyone comes together. I know I have lots of friends all year long but theres just something special about friends coming together at christmas time.

Prayer for my Uncle

When I count my many blessings family is one thing that I feel very blessed with. One of my favorite uncles is going through an illness right now in which he needs prayer. I hope that anyone reading this will pray for him and his recovery he is a dear man to me. Thank you.
