Concerning Shoping

I took my son shopping today at the neatest little shop it has a little of something for everyone. Its called the sunnyside store and even though its in my hometown people come from all over to visit this store. I could spend hours in there looking at all the different unique things that you can't find just any where. I'm sure they must have a website its worth taking a look around. www.sunnyside store .com. My son is into John Deere and they have alot of that but they also have something for every colector if you can't find it here I don't know where it is. Today my son brought two pair of jeans reasonably priced and a western shirt. He's all about farming, bull riding and just plain country. Well I guess this is my tip of the day. Have a good one and may God Bless.

I am so thankful for my family

Tomorrow will mark the 80th birthday of my Aunt Ruth and I am planning to go to her party. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful family that has lived such long lives. My Aunt Georgia who is the oldest of twelve children is 89 years old. My daddys family has been blessed to have only lost two children out of the twelve. Uncle Cain died as an infant and Uncle Charles died in his fifties from liver and kidney problems. God bless my family and may they all live long and happy lives I love you one and all.

YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE

there is a very special friend out there that I hope is reading this blog. I would love for you to get in touch with me . It's been a long time and I'd love t talk to you . Being the great talker and reader that you are I feel like you will read this. It's been a long time so I hope I find you.

feeling a little nastalgic today

I've been washing clothes today I don't know if I have mentioned it but I am a coalminers daughter from W.Va. I thought of the song coal miners daughter and how her momma washed their clothes on a washboard. My momma did that in her earlier days but not when I could remember it. I watched her wash on an old wringer washing machine many times. I don't know what brought this to mind I guess I am just feeling nastalgic today. Write and tell me about the way that you grew up.

I thank God for my many friends

I went to visit a friend today whom I have known for awhile. She is always uplifting and gives me the straight talk. She has seen my ups and my downs but thank God right now its all up. I 'd like to say that friendship is one of the most important things to me in the world outside of God and family. I hope to make many more friends through this blog. I don't know who all reads this but I pray for each one of you. I took my friend some homeade bread. I guess I have said before that I love to bake. I share with family and friends because there is no way for me to eat it all and I consider it a way to witness. That is all for now God bless you one and all.

Always remember those keeping us safe

You know I started out with this site because I wanted it to be a happy place and somewhere people could come to to get a little inspriration or a good laugh. But so far there has been some unhappiness and I feel like sharing that as well. My cousin who had her 20 birthday on July 9, spent her day in the hospital making the decision as to weather or not to pull the life support on her husband who was 26. He had a brain tumor and they were getting ready to celebrate their one year wedding anniversary. So So sad. anyway to make a long story short he was on the Athens W.V. fire dept. and my hats off to those fine men and women they really did an great tribute to Chucks life and also showed so much support for this family. So I have gained a higher respect for these people. I now know they go above and beyond the call of duty. This is just the one I am familiar with but I bet they are this way all over the land. Now my son wants to be a firefighter.I could not be -prouder.Thanks again I salute you all.

Why Dr. Phil has made me sad

Watched an episode of Dr. Phil this evening about people that have been friends for many years and then they part ways for some reason or another. This happened to me and my friend. I don't think about it often but it saddens me when I do. Life is short. Well on a lighter note I had a great fourth of july spent it with mine and my husbands family. Hope all is well on your side of the hill

God Bless America

God Bless America its almost that time of year again when you celebrate the freedom of our country. We usually spend July fourth at home but this year we have decided to visit some of my husbands family in Chapel Hill N.C. for this holiday. They are having a big picnic and firework celebration where they live in the little town of Pittsboro just out side of the city of Chapel Hill we have been there once before at Christmas year before last. My son is excited because he is a big fan of U.N.C. basketball. Pray for us to have a safe trip down there and back. and God Bless you one and all.
